Remarks & Notes
2-6-2 T steamlocomotive Eb 3/5 # 5819 of SBB Historic is shoving the steam rotary snow blower Xrot # 100 in Arth Goldau on this real winter day. The "Rotary" was built in 1896 by Henschel/Cassel/Germany for the Gotthardbahn (Gotthard Railway). Exactly 125 years ago, on january 17th in 1896, this snow blower, which was called "Rotary", was delivered in Rotkreuz station and then brought to Erstfeld. The Xrot # 100 is part of SBB Historic and was exhibited in the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne since 1982, but it had been moved to the Arth Goldau depot for space reasons. In the moment, it is not operational.
