Remarks & Notes
The 2,96 meter (9,7 feet) diameter blowing wheel of the "Rotary" steam snow blower Xrot # 100 is turning with up to 140 times per minute and can throw snow up to 90 meter (290 ft) wide. The impressive vehicle was built in 1896 by Henschel & Sohn in Cassel/Germany for the Gotthard Railway and retired defintively in 1981. This was the first day after about 40 years, that the snow blower was under steam.
