Santa Fe 9537, painted in the "Kodachrome" scheme for the proposed Southern Pacific Santa Fe Railway (a merger that was ultimately denied), leads an eastbound freight at May, on Santa Fe’s Third District. ATSF 9537 was built in November 1974 as ATSF U36C 8768. The railway rebuilt their fleet of U36Cs into SF30Cs, and ATSF 9537 was completed in April 1986. (Riverside, California – October 2, 1986)
