A pair of SD40-2’s take one of BNSF’s ‘Joliet locals’ (train Y-JOL202) based out of Joliet Yard. Seen here heading west out of town, and making their way towards Blodgett, Illinois to work INEOS Styrolution America LLC, DUPONT, Hoffman Transportation and various other industries a couple of miles to the southwest of town. The lead SD40-2, BNSF 1842 wears the BNSF H1 scheme while the trailing SD40-2, BNSF 1706 still wears its Burlington Northern green.
