Reading 4-8-4 2102 is the first fan-tripper that I ever photographed, in 1973 with an instamatic camera and print film. It was disguised as Delaware & Hudson 302 for that road’s sesquicentennial. 49 tears later, it is slated to return to service on the Reading & Northern. It seems that the R&N’s NRFF can’t round a curve without encountering at least one photographer on its daily trek, so I can’t imagine the attention that the big Northern will attract. Here the 2102 rounds a curve south of Hamburg during the Blue Mountain & Reading 1986 Railfan Weekend.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
