Remarks & Notes
Back in the days just before Family Lines became a thing, this run-through train originated in Cincy, running down the L&N to Atlanta, then utilizing the A&WP/WRofA to reach Montgomery. Here, the train has just boarded a fresh crew in WRofA's Chester Yard, and is starting the move from WRofA to L&N, which will be the route for the remainder of the trip to NOLA. The run-throughs are a glimpse into the future, but the remains of light poles and equipment hangers on the Union Station platform are sad reminders of a lost era.
