On a glorious, summer afternoon in New Mexico, AMTK 135 hustles the eastbound Southwest Chief across the flats at Schomberg under a stunning sky. The train is using ever bit of the dwindling mileage to do 80 mph before arriving into Raton where it will prepare for the climb up Raton Pass.
