Four In One. Former SEPTA Liberty Liner "Independence Hall” (1941, St. Louis Car Company) is a 4-section Articulated car that originally operated for the Chicago North Shore & Milwaukee Railroad where it was called an "Electroliner". The car came to the Norristown Line after CNS&M ceased operations in 1963, and was put up for sale by SEPTA in 1981. For a great photo of the 6 trucks that were required to move the car to the Rockhill Trolley Museum, click on the link: http://rockhilltrolley.org/liberty-liner-independence-hall/. The car was part of the operations on Saturday, October 9, 2021. The Illinois Railway Museum is nearing completion of its restoration of the sister car, former Liberty Liner “Valley Forge”.
