Just Another ALP. New Jersey Transit Train 1223 with Bombardier ALP-45DP 4519 and Train X04 with MTA Metro-North Railroad EMD GP40FH-2 4904 (née-CRIP 372, GP40) meet on the approach to Upper Hack in Lyndhurst, New Jersey on the afternoon of June 1, 2018. A keen eye will note that NJTR 4105 EMD GP40PH-2B 4105 is acting as a "heavy cab", as this was during the era when NJT was juggling consist arrangements to install PTC equipment and maintain service. But it would have taken a clairvoyant set of eyes to know that 4519 would emerge from MMC just over a year later in an Erie Lackawanna heritage wrap that it still wears today.
