Remarks & Notes
The project to bring the only operable steam rack-and-pinion locomotive with an upright boiler, the H 1/2 # 7 built in 1873, out of the Swiss Museum of Transport (VHS) and to use it on the Rigi in the anniversary year was awarded the Milestone Tourism Prize in the Innovation category (2nd place). The award ceremony took place on November 16, 2021 in the Casino Hall in Bern. On September 15, 2020, the locomotive was transported from Lucerne across Lake Lucerne and unloaded in Vitznau. It stands in front of the Rigi Bahnen station on the low-loader X 105 to be brought over the mountain to Arth Goldau later.
