This photo was taken on October 16 2021 at 7:12 AM. The EBT Roundhouse, built in 1882, is on the left with the Paint Shop on the right. Already men are in stall 8, working on No. 16.
As a shop worker of the East Broad Top railroad, you lived in Rockhill Furnace / Orbisonia. If you lived in a modest company home on High Street, each work morning you would walk to Meadow Street, turn left and this is what you would see. We can say that because this is the time capsule that is the EBT where the view has been essentially unchanged for over 120 years.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
