| Rumor has it that the coal fired, Midwestern Generating Station in Romeoville is supposedly going to close down this summer. They own two former Illinois Central SD20 locomotives to haul coal in and out of the plant. WCCH SD20 #1801 brings a cut of 40 loads into the plant. I have been taking every opportunity when it comes to photographing these rare, former Illinois Central work horses hauling heavy coal loads on their last days before the Romeoville plant shuts down. |
