The Logroño - Miranda de Ebro line runs alongside the Ebro river and adjusts to its numerous and large meanders. This sinuous route shows a great integration of the railway in the landscape but, on the other hand, it greatly reduces the speed of the trains. The Government of Spain is currently working on an alternative high-speed route further south that would leave Haro without its railway. In the image, in the background, the town of Labastida and the Sierra de Toloño.
