On a bright April 23, 1989 afternoon, northbound Fox River Valley Railroad PRGBA (Proviso Yard in Chicago to Green Bay) freight rolls past the stately barn of Luxerin Farms at Marblehead, just south of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The train is powered by a trio of FRVR EMD GP30s and a lone EMD GP35—all former Chicago & North Western—and still looking the part.
