| With a Bessemer & Lake Erie tunnel motor and a CN Anniversary Dash 8 on the point, CN U731 rounds the bend as it comes off the main on the Missabe Sub and on to the lead into the Fairlane Taconite Plant in Forbes, Minnesota. These trains shuttle raw iron ore from the Eveleth Thunderbird Mine to the plant for processing into taconite pellets, which are then taken to the docks in Duluth for loading onto lake freighters. |
