Remarks & Notes
"Tribute in Light from the Bridge"

On the night of September 11th, 2021, A New York City Transit garbage train, led by St. Louis Car Company R42 #4792, heads south over the Manhattan Bridge on the BMT Broadway Line in Manhattan. The 9/11 "Tribute In Light" memorial installation can be seen shining over the city skyline in the distance.

Tribute in Light is a commemorative public art installation first presented six months after 9/11 and then every year thereafter, from dusk to dawn, on the night of September 11. It has become an iconic symbol that both honors those killed and celebrates the unbreakable spirit of New York.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
