Remarks & Notes

Sunset crossing. The setting sun begins setting fire to Norfolk & Western's big J-Class #611 as she takes her passenger train westbound, past a motorist waiting at the crossing at Verdant View Farm in East Strasburg, Pennsylvania. This was a fitting end to the first day of a November, 2022 photo shoot organized by the Strasburg Rail Road and the Virginia Museum of Transportation, and led by Lerro Photography.
