Remarks & Notes
Built by the American Locomotive Company in June 1955 as Southern Pacific 1050, this T-6 locomotive was renumbered 1217 in 1965. With 82 on the roster, SP owned more ALCO S-6 locomotives than any other railroad. This locomotive was sold to locomotive dealer (and, usually, scrapper) Chrome Crankshaft on August 17, 1978. (Anaheim, California – February 1974)
