C Train Stops Ahead.
A Manhattan-bound C Train led by R179 no. 3173 (Bombardier, 2016-2019) is seen stopped at Clinton-Washington Aves Station on the Fulton St Line of the NYC Subway. In recent history, the number of cars used by C trains have varied, and thus many stations along the Fulton St Line feature signs directing passengers to the location on the platform at which shorter trains stop, in an effort to reduce the number of people who stand in the wrong area and have to run to the train when it arrives! Nowadays C trains are all 8 cars, so signs are less necessary - though the trains' lengths still vary depending whether 75' or 60' cars are used.
