Open Car Meet. Fair Haven & Westville Railroad Co. 355 and Montreal Tramways Car 4 were posed side by side at Hancock Siding on the night of Saturday, January 21, 2023. These 2 open cars are perhaps the most popular for visitors at the museum regardless of the temperature!
Winterfest Night Photo Shoot 2023. On the night of Saturday, January 21, 2023, the Connecticut Trolley Museum hosted a night photography shoot featuring its vintage collection of streetcars in the "tunnel of lights". Every year, the museum puts up more than 10,000 lights to decorate the line and add to the holiday experience for its visitors. The main attraction for this night shoot was the recently rehabilitated and repainted Montreal Tramways Car 4, one of the four very popular "Golden Chariot" cars that operated in Montreal, Quebec until the end of streetcar service in 1959. The museum volunteers arranged for a number of cars to be used for this event, as well as a diesel engine! Thank you again to everyone at the CT Trolley Museum for a wonderful evening.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
