While snooping around the C&NW North Green Bay roundhouse I came across this EMD cab sitting along side the building. I think it was from an SD40-2, number unknown. No idea how C&NW ended up with it here. It's possible a borrowed MILW unit ended up in a wreck on C&NW. C&NW was swopping some power with MILW after the 1980 bankruptcy of the latter. This was done to allow MILW to be able to use C&NW's ATC equipped mainline to reach Council Bluffs. MILW had dropped their own line west of Tama, IA. BN later acquired the western portion of it to handle grain traffic off the line.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
