Remarks & Notes

BN 6599's head end brakeman inspects BN 8159 and its eastbound train as it enters double track just north of the Edmonds station at MP 18 along Puget Sound. This location was a bottleneck for BN as trains between Everett & Seattle had to deal with a short single track segment between Edmonds & Richmond Beach. BN would soon retire most of their SD45 fleet.
