CSX has joined the heritage revolution! First out of the paint shop is ES44AH 1827 (formerly 3059), numbered and painted for the Baltimore & Ohio. It rolled out of the shop on May 10 and went right to work leading train M64610 from Waycross to Birmingham, seen here easing in to Dothan, Alabama, a bit after midnight on the 11th. Interesting to see how they've designed the modern CSX scheme to blend/fade in to the heritage scheme, a unique adaptation.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
