Remarks & Notes
Beach Ball On The River. One of "the" Hudson Line shots is along the Hudson River in Dobbs Ferry, New York with the George Washington Bridge and the Manhattan skyline in the background. On June 14, 2023, MTA Metro-North Railroad MNCW 208 (40th Anniversary "Beach ball", P32AC-DM) led train 875 from Grand Central Terminal to Poughkeepsie, New York as the sun was setting. This paint scheme, nicknamed "beach ball" because of its brightly striped colors, represents an earlier era of Metro-North design, though was not worn by this class of locomotives. Rumors abound abound more "heritage" units, so stay tuned!
