The unabated decomposition of a once mighty machine marches on. Originally built in the 1950s, these classically styled products of General Motors were the "A" listers of the commuter locomotive fleet around Chicago for the majority of their careers. In the mid 1970s they were rebuilt with HEP generators to help power the passenger cars and because of that they found their assignment as a parts source for other applications. Photographed at Larry's Truck and Electric, McDonald, OH, June 2023.
