Remarks & Notes
Sun Spot At Browns Crossing. Amtrak/Alstom Acela II Train Set 3 was transported from the Alstom factory in Hornell, New York to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 3, 2021. Amtrak 108 (P42DC, Phase VI, 50th Anniversary), 90 (P42DC), and 9800 (Metroliner Conference Car) led the consist of TS 3 (AMTK 2108-2109 power cars) across Norfolk Southern's Southern Tier Line in daylight. On the day prior, the diesel power came to Hornell from Niagara Falls, New York. Later, the train would take the NS Buffalo Line to Amtrak's Keystone Line to arrive in Philadelphia. This is one of 28 sets of Acela II/Avelia Liberty that will change the High Speed Train landscape in the United States once they are placed in service. The train is seen on teh shores of the Canisteo River in Canisteo, New York approaching McChesney Road in the area called "Browns Crossing".
