UP 1983, the Western Pacific heritage unit, makes a Chicagoland appearance leading ITAG4 from Tacoma, WA, seen here rumbling over the Fox River in Geneva, IL on its way to a crew change in Proviso before taking the train down the IHB to the CN Joliet Sub to reach its Global IV terminus. This segment of the Geneva Sub is slated to receive a third main, and you can see some of the work being performed on both sides of the river to get the new approaches to the third bridge span in place.
