Subway Meets Bus. Former MTA NYCT Subway R-16 6398 and RTS 4901 are both part of the Trolley Museum of New York collection. With a little mix of the Bronx and Brooklyn, the two were posed next to each other. After dark on Saturday, November 11, 2023, the Trolley Museum of New York held a "Photographers Day And Night Event" in Kingston, New York. The museum was founded in 1955 and moved to its present Kingston location in 1983. The line and the collection offer an impressive amount of variety. For this part of the event, the cobblestone streets of Roundout Landing were selected near the Hudson River Maritime Museum and lined with trolley and subway cars (and even a bus!) from different cities. And though this was the first photography focused event that the museum has held in the modern era, it plans to have similar days in the future.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
