My great, great uncle Robert F. McKee, Sr., was a design engineer at Baldwin and he would give my father different Baldwin Locomotive Works builder's cards when my father would visit him in Collingswood, New Jersey. This beautiful 4-6-4, number 3460, was built for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. According to the specifications listed on the back of the builder's card, the order was for six locomotive (3460 - 3465), and only one was streamlined. The engine and tender had a total weight of 817,800 lbs., and it had a tractive force of 49,300 lbs. This Baldwin Locomotive Works builders photo card is from the John R. Doughty collection.
