Remarks & Notes
A Westbound hotshot passes the classic Santa Fe Cantilever bridge at GI on the westside of Galesburg. A newer Dash 9 leads the pack west on the Chillicothe Sub. Santa Fe purchased 100 of these Dash 9 units. Numbered 600-649 built 2-4/94, 650-699 (even) built 9/94, and 650-699 (odd) built 8/94. The even numbered locomotives were fitted as lead pacesetters, and the old numbered locomotives were designated as trailing pacesetters, used for distributed power configurations.
