Remarks & Notes
BN 6004 was Balmer Yard's principal hump engine in the mid-70s. The unit was GN's fifth SD7, part of a fleet of 23 SD7s and 27 SD9s, most of which were assigned to Minnesota. I enjoyed several evenings at the throttle of BN 6004, "helping" my engineer friend during his night shift on the hump job in the early 1980s.
