27 Years Older. Former Connecticut Company Car 1414 (Osgood-Bradley, 1911) operated for its original owner from 1911-1948, when streetcar service ended. Since 1948, it had been part of The Shore Line Trolley Museum collection. In 1997, the museum reached an agreement with the Lake Compounce Amusement Park in Bristol, Connecticut to send the car there to operate on a small stretch of track for a year. One year turned into 27 successful seasons of operation, but finally on Thursday, March 21, 2024, the car returned to the East Haven, Connecticut Farm River Road "Sprague Station" with the assistance of Silk Road Specialized - Jobs. Conn Co 1414 rejoins a robust collection of operable streetcars, interurbans, subway cars. Of these cars, more than a dozen of many types also operated for the Connecticut Company.
