Climbing upgrade toward to cross the Tehachapi Mountains, the grade is about to get a bit steeper in a mile or two. British Columbia "Royal Hudson" 2860 (ex-Canadian Pacific 2860) is on its way to Los Angeles for promotional purposes. The train is not long, but host railroad Southern Pacific required a diesel helper, in this case SP SD45T-2 9307, just in case there is an issue. (Caliente, California – March 29, 1977)
