National Locomotive's rebuilt former Norfolk & Western RS36 #1800 sits at the shops that NALCO shared with the Morristown & Erie Railroad. This was to be the first in a group of RS11 and RS36 rebuilds that NALCO had planned. This locomotive, however, blew up at Elizabethport during a load test shortly after this photo and the project didn't go forward. June 21, 1978.
