Remarks & Notes
Sun Setting East Side Amtrak Service. During the summer of 2018, all Amtrak Empire service that was operated to New York City originated and terminated from Grand Central Terminal due to track work at New York Penn Station, which is located on NYC's West Side. Towards the end of the summer and the day on August 30, 2018, Amtrak Train 237 (AMTK 712, P32AC-DM leading) had just started its journey to Albany-Rensselaer, New York when it traveled up the Park Avenue Viaduct, approaching the Harlem-125 Street Station. The final scheduled Amtrak revenues trains served GCT on September 3, 2018.
