New Equipment On MTA Staten Island Railway. With the R211S fleet entering revenue service, take a look back to the last time that MTA SIR took delivery of new equipment. On April 17, 2010, newly built Brookville BL20G BMEX 776 was selected to lead a trip on the line chartered by the Electric Railroaders Association. This locomotive was one of four that replaced a pair each of Alcos and GE 45T MTA NYCT R-41s in the SIR's work fleet. The pair of ME-2/R44S cars used for the trip, 464 and 466, are the two highest numbered in the fleet. A few photo stops were made on the way to Tottenville, including this one at the Annadale Station.
