Knocking Off The Rust. It was five years ago today, on November 2, 2019, that the East Broad Top Railroad held a photographer's photo event. For the first time in about eight years, equipment was moved out of the roundhouse and arranged for both day and night shots. While no plans were known at the time, the equipment was suspiciously clean and there was new wood in the roof of the roundhouse. Just a few months later, the East Broad Top Foundation announced its purchase of the railroad and intentions to restore the equipment, track, and buildings, and five years later the railroad is well on its way.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
