Remarks & Notes
A run-of-the-mill wedgie proves to be something of significance almost two years after it was taken. I ran across this photo I had taken of what I thought to be a boring P42 leading the northbound Auto Train past the Folkston railfan platform while reminiscing about old trips. Unknown to me at the time was that AMTK 184 would become part of Amtrak's heritage fleet less than a year after the shutter button was pressed. Even more unknown to me was that I would see this same locomotive in its new [preferred] livery crossing the Potomac River on the Capitol Limited in April 2011.

Amtrak's longest train takes passengers and their vehicles on an overnight trip between Florida and the Northeast while eliminating 850 miles of driving. It is popular with snowbirds and families.
