Remarks & Notes
A New Jersey Transit train prepares to depart Hoboken, New Jersey, on December 29th, 2011. NJ Transit rosters a number of diesels not found elsewhere, and the lead diesel on this afternoon's train, PL42AC 4016, is one of them. Equipped with four axles, PL42AC were built by Alstom with EMD 16-710G3B-T1, V16, 2-stroke diesel prime movers. The first batch of these, which includes 4016, were constructed at the Meinfesa plant in Valencia, Spain in 2003. (The later orders were assembled at the Alstom Transport plant in Hornell, New York from 2004 to 2006.)

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
