Remarks & Notes
Amtrak 44 - A Reminder of Better Days

After several days of typical Seattle mist and gloom, the sun burned through on January 23, 2017. While cold, it was sunny as Amtrak's Coast Starlight led by the typical pair of P42DCs - 44 and 189 - speeds through Newaukum, Washington as it head from Seattle to Los Angeles. Eight years and three days earlier, lead engine 44 was on the point of then-President-Elect Barack Obama's Inauguration Train that carried he and then-Vice-President-Elect Joe Biden into Washington DC.
