Remarks & Notes
A visit to Conrail’s Conway Yard in August, 1978 began with hopes of seeing some of the sis-axle Alco Centuries that frequented the area. While we found our quarry, the real prize was this former Frisco high-hoodU25B that was apparently on lease to power-starved Conrail. Former GE demonstrator 755, SLSF 806 was one of the first commercially successful GE domestic road units. I’m sure that this was the pioneer’s last assignments before being scrapped.
