| The DM&E Boys took over the IMRL property on July 29, 2002. 2 months later I believe the crew toured the property with their DM&E business train. Here the Austin local is southbound on the Owatonna Sub bound for Mason City with the train. They are just out of Carpenter and 20 miles from Mason. This sub was known for the small jointed rail it had. Some of it was like 85 pounds and looked like miniature toy train rail! It rode pretty bad and you can see the 3rd car sway to the left. |
