Deep in Canada's Boreal Forest. Tossing an arcing plume of ice and snow and pouring out a dark column of smoke that would make Beebe & Clegg rather happy, the White Pass Rotary Fleet continues it's northbound slog through the Boreal Forest of British Columbia, destined for Log Cabin and Bennett if the water holds out. While I have been to some beautiful railroads over the last couple of decades, none can quite compare with the scenery on the White Pass & Yukon Route on a sunny day in late April. Historic advertisements for this railroad dating back to the dawn of the 20th century refer to this railroad as "The Scenic Line of the World." Having experienced it for 4 days in 2011, it's just as true today as it was over a century ago.
