Arnines Around the Bend. New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R1 car no. 381 (ACF, 1930-1931) is the lead motor of a six-car train approaching Brighton Beach station on the Brighton Line. Cars of models R1 through R9 are collectively known as "Arnines" due to similarities in their design.
