Mainly a lumber train and some tank cars climbing out of the sag just west of the Winslow yard. Winslow is crew change point. I-40 is in the background.

Nearing the end of the line at Keystone 110 is pulling the train toward the Keystone station. Yeah, the track maintenance could be a bit better.

Black Hills train leaves that station and heads toward the first hill it will climb. I remember the engine making lots of noise and smoke as it went up the hill just outside of town.

The lead locomotive begins the crossing of the Hurricane Guch bridge with the creek some 296 feet below. It is quite the sight on this day.

FPA, FPB and a Generating car will idle for the next two hours and will lead tne train south to Willams.

These two UP locomotives are about as clean as the old SP engines that routinely climbed Donner Pass. They are supposed to be Yellow but look more charcoal. It reminded of the old SP diesels.

This older ES44DC has just crossed Beaver St. and goes West to climb the last bit of hill before reaching the Arizona Divide at 7300 feet.

This Baldwin was built in 1906 and worked in the Yuma area until it was donated to the city of Yuma in 1957 for display.

I am up early morning at the Cosnino Rd crossing to catch this west bound stack train. The location is on the BNSF Transcon a few miles east of downtown Flagstaff.
