Amtrak's Southbound Palmetto dashes across North Carolina's countryside with the Phase I Pointless Arrow logo heritage unit.

The southbound Palmetto passes under the classic Atlantic Coast Line signal bridge at Contentnea Creek along the south end subdivision. The signal bridge was replaced in 2013.
