American Flyer was the original name planned but got worked to "Acela" They were still somewhat new when I took this photo, now looking at retirement in a few years.
With a former Penn Central Metroliner cab car in the lead, this train approaches its destination of New Haven. That catenary tower in the background is the northernmost one on the old NH.
T#172 makes it's station stop at New London, stopped just short of one of the few remaining grade crossings on the corridor.
