Big Boy in the beautiful Weber River valley on the last lap to Ogden. Thanks to my very patient wife of 38 years for persuading me to make the trip and for her help with driving/navigation.

A couple of Pan Am Heritage Geeps (BM 77 & MEC 52) are switching the yard with GWR (ex-UP) GP9 No. 296. The signal bridge is from Midvale, UT, on the Rio Grande.

The Spike 150 Train Excursion is rolling along at about 40 mph behind UP Big Boy No. 4014 and 4-8-4 No. 844, paralleling old US Route 30 and I-84.
A steady light rain with some snow mixed in is pelting the 4014 as it heads toward the summit at Wahsatch, Utah, about 10 miles upgrade
The 4014 and 844 have created their own cloud formations as they exit Weber Canyon on the last lap to Ogden.
