The Grand Canyon Railway meets a warbonnet led Phoenix bound Z train at Williams in beautiful late evening light.

Although it has a big BNSF on the side, this Warbonnet looks right at home crossing Route 66 on an old ATSF bridge...

A prescribed burn got a little out of control during our trip through Williams, AZ (the so called 'Twin Fires'). Quite a lot of smoke was coming our way. Train traffic continued of course.

So sad to see the picture today of the yard of the GCR. I visited 4 years ago and had a fabulous trip. Here the 8.30 am train leaves from Williams for the Grand Canyon.
