One of fifty-nine BL2s produced, the 7172 and its slug are hard at work on a steamy June afternoon in 1981. The unit was built for the Western Maryland Railway in October, 1948, as their No. 82.

It looks a little like 1953 but it is 1973. The Southern 2-8-2 4501 was there for a fan trip over the Rock Island and the E6A 630 was just in regular service. photo was at the station just before... (more)
I don't have any information on this picture other than it is of an LV eastbound at Bound Brook in the Winter. I'm guessing my father took this in the early 1960s.
